Overarching Weekly Goals
Compare and Contrast Stories
Blending sounds in Reading Mastery &
Reading Level B books (on reading A-Z) Independently
DAILY ASSIGNMENT: I will have assignments due each day. I will be grading three assignments this week and that is what will contribute to your child's grade for the end of the quarter. These assignments are to be done independently and will be graded to reflect the independent work that your child can do. Please remember that it does not help your child develop their own skills if the work is done for them :)
The word "GRADED" will be written next to the assignment.
1- Writing --> Any Week Day: Submit 1 sight word activity
2- Phonics--> Thursday, Reading A-Z Book and Quiz
3- Comprehension --> Friday Compare and Contrast
I will still be checking other assignments and those will be marked for completion but the three above will be graded.
Please email me with any questions!

I can compare and contrast.
Watch the LESSON 1st (directly below)
Directions:
Listen to the lesson first. You are going to be comparing and contrasting the story Miss Nelson is Back with the story from yesterday, Miss Nelson is Missing.
As you listen to the story, think about what is the same between the two stories. Also, think about what is different between the two stories.
After the story, make a Venn Diagram (example is in the Google Drive) and tell 1 thing that is the same about the 2 stories and 1 thing about each story that is different. Use words and illustrations.
Then, watch the book!
Email it to me or post it on Flipgrid!
