Overarching Weekly Goals
Compare and Contrast Stories
Blending sounds in Reading Mastery &
Reading Level B books (on reading A-Z) Independently
If you would like to schedule a time in the AM on Thursday for your child to read with me, please email me before the EOD Wednesday!
DAILY ASSIGNMENT: I will have assignments due each day. I will be grading three assignments this week and that is what will contribute to your child's grade for the end of the quarter. These assignments are to be done independently and will be graded to reflect the independent work that your child can do. Please remember that it does not help your child develop their own skills if the work is done for them :)
The word "GRADED" will be written next to the assignment.
1- Writing --> Any Week Day: Submit 1 sight word activity
2- Phonics--> Thursday, Reading A-Z Book and Quiz
3- Comprehension --> Friday Compare and Contrast
I will still be checking other assignments and those will be marked for completion but the three above will be graded.
Please email me with any questions!

Compare and Contrast
I can compare and contrast 2 characters in my story.
Watch the video below.
Introduction of a Venn Diagram.
While listening to the story, think about what is the same and what is different about Little Sal and Little Bear.
After the story, just focus on comparing or finding what is the same.
Draw a Venn Diagram for practice and write/illustrate 1 thing that is the SAME between the two characters in our story.
Email it to me or post it on Flipgrid!
